Samuel Snider Glean Coat - Glen Check

Samuel Snider Glean Coat - Glen Check

A beautiful overcoat made of a soft, tumbled Irish linen in a glen check of tan, brown and cornflower blue. This is a unisex piece, based on an original military garment from the 1940s. The linen has a lovey drape - it feels great on and is a perfect layering piece throughout the warmer months. It's unlined and is beautifully finished with flat felled seams. It has horn buttons, sleeve cuff tabs and front side pockets. We love the roominess, the drape, the ease in which we can imagine slipping this on for an extra bit of warmth on a cool summer evening.

Fit - This has an easy, unisex fit. The 1 fits like a women's s/m and the 2 like a m/l.  It's best to go by the measurements below -

1 - underarm to underarm - 23", length - 43"

2 - underarm to underarm - 24", length  - 44"

100% linen from Donegal, Ireland. Created and produced with care in NY's Garment District.

Samuel Snider creates his beautiful collection with deep knowledge and inspiration from 20th century workwear. He is guided by the belief that "elegance lies within utility" and you can really feel this foundation in his pieces. His process is one of thorough care, constant refinement and dedication to his proclivity towards garments of another time. The fabric for this collection is sourced from the finest heritage mills that share Sam's focus on natural materials and sustainable sourcing. Sam works in his studio in New York with a small team to pattern, cut, sew and refine his pieces before they then head to New York's Garment District to be produced. We love the finished collection as much as we love Sam's process - you can feel the care and dedication in the final pieces. Sam's approach is a paragon of clothing creation and production.
